COWL VENT GUARDS |
|
 |
Stainless steel
cowl vent guards were made by Stainless Outfitters. New ABI Stainless
steel low profile vents installed. Hopefully now the sheets will not
snag the vents on every jibe or tack. |

MAST STEP REPLACEMENT |
|
The mast was the old style shoe type and only had one halyard run back
to the cockpit. I wanted to have a number of lines to the
cockpit (but did not want to drill holes in the deck) so as to be
able to single hand if need be. Stainless Outfitters made this mast
step from my drawings which turned out to be perfect. |

Stainless steel hatch slides |
|
|
I
was going to do an acrylic hatch but the supplier screwed up the
measurements twice and I needed a hatch to I made this one from epoxy
coated plywood. I
copied the rails from and C&C and used starboard for the runners.
I built up the front part of the hatch and now I have a fairly
waterproof, bug proof and stronger hatch. The added benefit is the
additional space at the sides allowed me to put two more clutches
on each side and now I have all lines led back to the cockpit. There is teak
trim on the top and bottom now. I will update the picture when I have one.
Now thinking of making the hatch of 3/4 starboard with teak trim. (no
painting, no worries) |
